Resignations/New Members/Members news: David Hamilton and Adam
Rosati are new   members.
GLTC Report: No members of GLTC were present Paul reported that there
is a new fundraising  pamphlet
for GLTC. The brochure includes maps of all land holdings. Braemore property
is  officially
opened and maps are available in the same places that the West Woods maps.
Trail Reports
Westwoods:
- Team
A: (12 hours) Bob and Joan Handschumacher worked on the Violet trail cutting
34 trees down.
Bob also rebuilt 2 signs for the Moose Hill entrance. Bob there may be
a need for a bridge on
the south end of the Violet trail.
- Team
B: (3 hours) Paul and the state forester marked trees for removal on the
Yellow circle and the
Violet circle. There were approximately 200 trees marked. Paul also posted
the updated  maps
of open trails at the trailheads. The White and Orange circle trails south
of the Blue   rectangle
are now open. Paul and Sandy marked trees North of the Blue rectangle
on the White circle,
83 trees total. Paul and Peter started cutting on the White circle north
of the Blue   rectangle
and felled 26 trees. (8 hours)

Nut Plains: No report
Paul Trail: No report
Kampmeyer: Joe Kaufman has plans to do minor maintenance over the
next few weeks.
Eastwoods: No report
Hoadly Creek: No report
Spencer Creek: No Report
Work Parties: Paul Proulx, Peter Johnson, and seven others worked
cutting and clearing the White circle
trail south of the Blue rectangle. The cutting was completed. (24 hours)
There will not be any
work parties for December.
New Business: Shoreline Greenway Trail Chip Angle and Steve Rolka
(I'm not completely certain these
are the correct names of these guys… I'll call Paul, he's not home tonight
though) Two  representatives
of the Shoreline Greenway Trail came to speak with the group. They provided
a couple
of handouts that give a brief overview of the project. (Copies can be
available, get in touch with
Sandy. All of the info can also be found at the web site below) There
are regular monthly  meeting
in each of the towns. There are over 400 people from East Haven, Branford,
Guilford, and Madison
involved so far. The proposed trail will connect Lighthouse Point and
Hammonassett  State
Park potentially running through public and private land. An invitation
was made to all  members
of the Westwoods committee who are interested in attending meetings and
taking part in
discussions about the creation of the trail. One of the proposals for
the trail may include  utilizing
a trail in the Westwoods. We are invited to be part of any walks organized
to survey the trails.
The two under consideration at the moment are the Blue and Green rectangles.
The  committees
are still in the beginning stages of preparing route proposals and no
landowners have been
have been approached.
The
