Entrances to West Woods In Guilford

Granite Road - From I-95 exit 57 head west on Route 1 approximately two miles. Make a left hand turn onto Moose Hill Road. Go about 1 mile and make a right hand turn onto Granite Road. Entrance is at the end of the street.

Moose Hill Road - From I-95 exit 57 head east on Route 1 approximately one half mile. Make a right hand turn onto Peddlers Road. Go about 1 mile to intersection with Moose Hill Road, and take a left. There is an entrance 1/2 mile on the left, and another entrance about a quarter of a mile past the first one at the end of the cul-de-sac.

Peddlers Road - From I-95 exit 57 head east on Route 1 approximately one half mile. Make a right hand turn onto Peddlers Road. Travel on the road a little over a mile. The entrance is on your left just after Denison Drive.

Dunk Rock Road - From I-95 exit 57 head east on Route 1 approximately a half mile. Make a right hand turn onto Dunk Rock Road. Drive about 1/4 mile to the end of the road. There is one entrance across from Bishop's Pond with parking. There is a second entrance at the end of the road, with no parking.

Sam Hill Road - From I-95 exit 57 head east on Route 1 approximately one and a quarter mile. At the second stop light make a right hand turn onto River Street. When the road ends turn right onto Route 146 (Water Street). Travel a little over a mile, and make a right hand turn onto Sam Hill Road just before the railroad bridge. The trail entrance with parking is immediately on your left.

Entrances to Paul Trail

Sachems Head Road - From I-95 exit 57 head east on Route 1 approximately one and a quarter mile. At the second stop light make a right hand turn onto River Street. When the road ends turn right onto Route 146 (Water Street). Travel on this road for a little over a mile. You will cross under the railroad bridge, and the entrance is about a quarter of a mile further on your right. There is also another entrance about a third of a mile past the first one on your right.

Entrances to Kampmeyer Preserve

Laurel Hollow Road -From I-95 exit 57 head west on Route 1 for approxiamately one and a quarter miles unti lyou see West Lake Avenue on your right. Travel along this road for about one and a half miles. Take a left on to Laurel Hollow Road and drive to the end of the cul-de-sac.

Entrance to Pinchot Preserve

Route 146 -From I-95 exit 56 head South on to Route 146 (Leetes Island Road). After one and a half miles turn left staying on Route 146. Continue on this road for two more miles. The entrance is on your left just before the railroad bridge and sharp curve. Be careful driving around this curve.

Entrances to Nut Plains Preserve

Cindy Lane -From I-95 exit 58 head north on Route 77 for approxiamately one and a quarter mile until you reach Stepstone Hill Road. You will cross a four way intersection, and continue on until it hits Nut Plains road. Take a right on Nut Plains, and travel for about a half mile. On your left you will see White Birch Drive. Travel on this road for a short distance until you reach Cindy Lane on your right. About half way down the road on your left is the entrance to the Nut Plains Preserve.
